An exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist based in Newbury

Your new role
To deliver a professional resourcing service, by managing key recruitment activities through the resourcing lifecycle. Responsible for delivering the talent acquisition proposition to the local business unit or function, ensuring that agreed standards are exceeded and that resourcing activities add value to the business. To be an expert in recommending where to attract the best candidates and the most effective selection processes to use. Work with hiring managers to establish clear campaign timelines and ensure managers understand their responsibilities and input required throughout each campaign. To support the delivery of the Group Talent Acquisition Strategy and to be an active member of the HCUK Talent Acquisition Community.

In carrying out the responsibilities of the role, the post holder will work with (or have significant contact with):

* Talent Acquisition Director
* Talent Acquisition Coordinator
* Candidates (internal and external)
* HR Business Partners
* Recruiting Managers
* Recruitment Partners (agencies)
* Finance Team

The post holder is directly accountable for the following outputs: Operational Delivery To support the Talent Acquisition Partner in delivering the Resourcing Plans in order to attract and retain the very best talent. Campaign management

* Advise and decide on the most appropriate recruitment solution for all allocated vacancies
* Ensure that candidates, hiring managers and all relevant stakeholders are regularly briefed and updated at all stages of the recruitment process.
* Manage the process from start to finish, ensuring job briefs are in line with the business / functional needs and individuals are recruited within the timeframes specified
* Sourcing candidates through appropriate channels including social media
* Field applications, pre-interview candidates, liaise with advertising agencies, and headhunt as required
* Acting as a main point of contact for candidates and hiring managers, ensuring an excellent customer and candidate experience
* Manage the design and delivery of assessment centres
* Production of MI following each campaign
* Weekly reporting on vacancy status
* Administer and submit all hiring paperwork for new employees to the People Service team

Recruitment system

* Monitor and manage applications, ensuring that all candidates receive communications
* Ensure candidate notes are loaded within the system so a full trail of communications and reasoning is available
* Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities

Proactive campaign management

* Create and manage a pipeline of candidates in line with resourcing plans for future resourcing needs.
* Understand local markets both location and industry specific to be able to add value to each business area by making recommendations and adapting attraction strategies to support resourcing
* Updating relevant social media feeds to ensure that social media is used as an attraction tool

What you'll need to succeed
Must have the skills to be able to interpret information provided to source, sift, screen and short-list candidates for all vacancies, the ability to influence managers and manage expectations, strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement is essential.

* Previous recruitment experience either agency or in-house
* Excellent communication with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
* Excellent organisation with the ability to multi task
* Proactive approach with a "can do" attitude
* Good technical knowledge of systems, applications and social media and enthusiasm to explore and embrace alternative solutions
* Strong influencing skills at all levels
* High attention to detail
* Ability to follow defined process but take a pragmatic approach
* Experience of using an applicant tracking system would be advantageous
* Broad experience of sourcing across multiple specialisms
* CIPD or equivalent qualification would be desirable
