HUMAN RESOURCES

The HR Department provides a professional support service to employees of the Central University. Our committed team undertakes a wealth of activities in relation to employee relations, payroll, pensions, recruitment and organisational and staff development.

The Organisational & Staff Development (OSD) team support organisational, team and individual learning that underpins our strategic aims. This is achieved by activities such as the development and delivery of learning programmes, supporting appraisal, and by facilitating wellbeing and engagement initiatives.

The Role

We are seeking a Staff Development Lead to play a key role within the OSD team and lead on a variety of activities and programmes. You will have specific responsibility for the design, delivery, and evaluation for a range of programmes; be responsible for the delivery of a variety of activities including job shadowing and coaching; manage the appraisal process; and provide expert support and advice across the University.

To be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate a successful track record of developing and delivering programmes of learning and development activity in a complex environment. You will have experience of the entire learning cycle from conducting training needs analysis through to evaluation.

You will be an excellent communicator, relationship builder, and project manager with the ability to play the role of facilitator. You will be able to influence and inspire others; manage a varied and demanding workload; and feel comfortable taking the lead.
