Currently searching for a HR Business Partner with strong Trade Union exposure to join a company in Surrey paying up to £50,000 per annum. This is a HR Generalist role with both operational and strategic exposure.

The role of HR Business Partner will be to support the Senior HR Business Partner in setting the strategic direction of the business area and develop and deliver the People Plan for the areas the Business Partners support as well as offering an efficient operational HR service.

You will play a pivotal role as part of the wider HR Team and ensure that all elements contribute directly to the achievement of the organisational goals including supporting the Senior Management team in achieving their strategic objectives. This role will also provide leadership and expertise on people issues, and support the implementation of the HR People Strategy as well as promoting good employee relations within the company, working closely with the recognised trade union representatives.

Duties include;

* Works closely with Senior HR Business Partner to support specific business areas
* Supporting the Strategic direction, and business requirements of the assigned business area
* From an HR perspective, helps to drives the business agenda across their assigned business areas
* Lead annual HR processes including performance reviews, compensation planning, promotions, objective setting, etc. in conjunction with HR guidelines.
* Reviews current orgnisational state and examine if it is fit for purpose
* Identifies and evaluates Organisation Design and leads business through re-structure; implementation and change
* Coordinate organisational changes according to business needs by taking into consideration relocation, job development opportunities, terminations, headcount and organisational objectives
* Ensures that managers are upskilled to manage their own grievance/disciplinary/performance and management processes, involving the management of more complex cases.
* Coaches leaders and drives the ongoing development of people capability in the line management population
* Focuses on building capability of the manager rather than just managing the issue
* Support Head of HR and/or Senior HRBP with business area near and long term workforce forecasting and demand planning
* Works with business area/s to ensure a candidate pool is ready for management roles
* Conducts talent and succession planning activity within the area
* Supports on Talent identification exercises within areas
* Uses metrics to identify opportunities to improve performance
* Ensures People strategy/approach is aligned across business units where necessary
* Manage and support disciplinary and grievance and other ER issues within area
* Monitors absence to determine route cause
* Managing complex long term sickness cases within area
* Manages relationships with the Trade Union
* Supports Pay Negotiations, Recognition process and the ER Agenda
* Identifies roles that are affected by business change and seeks to transfer labour
* Support the global employee engagement survey and follow up with action planning

The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified to Level 7 with strong Business Partnering and Trade Union experience. Previous project management experience and familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of a project life cycle is a necessity as well the ability to be flexible and adaptable and to work in a fast paced and constantly evolving work environment. You will have experience of handing sensitive personal and complex data, should be experienced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project and Visio and will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will also have strong negotiation and coaching skills, including the ability to coach and develop managers, sound leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
