HR MANAGER


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Advise Directors, managers and employees on a wide variety of HR matters
  • Manage HR and Recruitment personnel including their training and development
  • Acquisitions:  manage personnel transfers ensuring TUPE compliance
  • Liase with Payroll personnel, colleagues and Directors
  • Liase with third parties such as solicitors, Benefits brokers, and various third-party stakeholders
  • Manage Recruitment Days
  • Manage GDPR compliance for HR and employees
  • Ensure the Company is compliant with Employment Law including GDPR, Anti-Slavery Act, Gender Pay Gap reporting etc
  • Review Employee data with solicitors to ensure compliance
  • Manage staff Benefits
  • Manage National Minimum Wage compliance
  • Manage the annual holiday entitlement increases
  • Manage the Apprentice Tooling scheme
  • Manage the authorisation of company cars issued
  • Manage the HR content for the Company’s Intranet
  • Manage HR related projects, including:
  • Identifying and establishing a new HR system
  • Review and update Employee Handbook
  • Review and update Disciplinary/Grievance procedures and documentation
  • Compile a HR procedures guide for Management
  • Complete review of new recruit induction information
  • Create an Interactive Induction process

Additional requirements

  • Have experience in TUPE transfers and acquisitions
  • Level 7 CIPD or above would be preferred but not essential  
  • To have a deep practical understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • To communicate well with colleagues
  • To be well organised and methodical when attacking projects
  • To have good management skills
  • Good organisational and strategic skills
  • To be able to manage a department
  • To dress according to the companies work wear requirements 
  • To work at other sites if required to do so.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm (1 hour for lunch)
