A HR Manager is required for a Construction company in Essex

Your new company
An expanding Construction company based in Chelmsford requires a HR Manager to support the growth of the business.This is a standalone role reporting to the Managing Director. You will be responsible for implementing a HR Strategy in line with the business objectives. Implementing policies and procedures and ensuring the organisation meets all legislation and compliance standards

Your new role

* Employee Relations - manage all disciplinary meetings, grievances, dispute resolutions and termination of employee contracts in line with company policy.
* Ensure the human resource policies and procedures are kept up to date and constantly reflect the values of the organisation
* Develop HR Policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes.
* Select and implement suitable HR technology Continuously review HR policy's and processes and implement changes where necessary.
* Advise staff on work matters and provide advice on Company policy, terms and conditions
* Manage the recruitment and selection process (including developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates, associated HR administration).
* Devise plans and techniques to drive change and culture
* Monitor and evaluate staff attendance and work with managers to improve absence
* Produce reports/statistics (including sickness and absence reports) for monitoring purposes, to include analysis and suggestions for improvement
* Responsible for and oversee payroll as appropriate to ensure accuracy
* Ensure the training matrix is kept up to date and all sub contractors have the correct training / qualifications

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have previous experience as a HR Manager or a HR Advisor looking to take the next step in your career. You will be have completed the Level 5 CIPD certificate or hold a degree in a Business Management or Human Resources Management. Experience of working with sub contractors / self employed workers would be advantageous.
