Senior L&D Assistant
Waddington Brown is working with a highly successful and reputable commercial business based in Colchester to recruit an experienced L&D Advisor/Manager to join them for a fixed term contract of 8 months Supporting a professional and busy function, this role will line manage a specialist team and manage the service ensuring success and maximised efficiencies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting and supporting a model that delivers exceptional customer service where work is shared and delivered to a high standard and to strict deadlines
- Day to day management of a team, developing and mentoring staff as required
- Identify and support opportunities for improvement, ensuring a streamlined & effective service is provided
- Manage stakeholder expectations, working within established service level agreements, ensuring work is correctly prioritised and carried out effectively
The successful candidate will have strong people management experience and ideally have had exposure to a shared service model, a learning & development or service delivery function and have worked in a fast paced, commercial environment. Stakeholder management experience is essential as the role involves liaising with multiple stakeholders across the organisation. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels. Team management experience and the ability to motivate, prioritise and effectively work under pressure is key to the success in this role.
