A HR Assistant is required on a fixed term contract for 10 months based in Ilford

Your new company
A growing organisation with a head office based in Ilford requires an enthusiastic and professional HR Assistant to support the HR Manager in delivering pro-active and efficient HR service on a fixed term contract for 10 months

Your new role


* Assisting managers and employees with various HR related queries and escalating more serious concerns as appropriate.
* Supporting with pro-active Recruitment service, including job advertising, application pre-screening, effective communication.
* Regular daily and weekly update and maintenance of the vacancy spreadsheet.
* Working closely with the HR Manager on ensuring the right recruitment and HR processes are in place and applied consistently across the board.
* Supporting the HR Manager with the day to day HR Administration (maintaining head office personnel files, preparation of various documentation etc).
* Managing the on-boarding process for all new head office, management and regional roles, including requesting references, collecting IDs, processing DBS, issuing offer letters and contracts and sending starter documentation.
* Pro-active management of employee benefits.
* Pro-active management of the Occupational Health process
* Maintaining and coordinating various HR systems, shared drives, spreadsheets and database.
* Providing regular reports i.e. absence, turnover, annual leave.
* Escalating any serious issues to the HR Manager.
* Getting involved in any other ad hoc projects.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of working in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience of working in a HR, payroll or recruitment function is essential.


* Previous experience in Human Resources and high attention to detail.
* Knowledge of Employment Law
* Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ideally CIPD qualified minimum Level 3
