My client are a leading law firm based in the city of London.



 Accountable for the delivery of a seamless, efficient recruitment service to the firm (including temporary / locum hires).

 Work with Partners, Heads of Department, and Hiring Managers across the firm to understand their resourcing needs, assist them with developing a resourcing plan and deliver an excellent, efficient recruitment service.

 Manage, supervise, coach and mentor the 2 x junior recruitment team members.

 Manage, build and maintain all external agency and job board contacts.

 Manage the recruitment budget prudently and effectively.

 Develop and enhance the candidate engagement experience and build the Leigh Day talent brand.

 Manage the generation, production and custody of the recruitment collaterals (i.e. job descriptions, adverts, assessments, interview questions).

Graduate/Trainee Recruitment

 Responsible for the management of the graduate/trainee and newly qualified recruitment process.

 Managing the entire cycle from;

o confirmation of number of seats, finalisation of the recruitment schedule and liaising with the recruitment panel,

o overseeing the smooth running of the interview day logistics,

o building relations and working with several student job boards, publications universities and other channels to enhance talent attraction, diversity and inclusion,

o overseeing the application, shortlisting, interviewing, selection and seat rotations.

 Work with the HR Manager (Operations) to identify and resolve any pastoral / employee relations matters.

Generalist HR Support and Projects

 Introduce and integrate an application tracker system for non-trainee recruitment

 Remain up to date with changes to relevant employment and SRA regulations i.e. GDPR, Agency Workers Regulations, Training Regulations 2014, Solicitor's Qualifying Examination, Right to Work Checks, etc. to ensure our processes are compliant and fit for purpose.


 Solid experience of managing recruitment within a professional services environment. Legal experience would be preferred.

 Relevant experience in managing a graduate recruitment programme will be highly advantageous.

 Good academic background with CIPD qualification.

 Strong experience in working closely with senior stakeholders and building trust and credibility.

 Demonstrable experience in providing HR advice.

 Proven experience in supervising and managing others effectively, and effective team working.

 Ability to build strong relationships with external stakeholders.

 Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

 Excellent written and oral communication skills.
