Coin Street Community Builders (CSCB) is a social enterprise and our aim is to create an inspirational neighbourhood. CSCB has transformed a largely derelict 13-acre site into a thriving mixed-use neighbourhood by creating new co-operative homes; shops, galleries, restaurants, cafes and bars; a park and riverside walkway; sports facilities; by organising festivals and events; and by providing childcare, family support, learning, and enterprise support programmes. Income is generated from a variety of sources including the hire of retail and catering spaces, event spaces, meeting room spaces and conference venue spaces as well as the provision of consultancy services.

We have an exciting opportuning for a Head of Human Resources to join our small and friendly HR team. This role offers an experienced Senior HR Manager, the opportunity to provide a comprehensive HR service to our people, including the management and leadership team, and to promote best practice across the organisation.

This is a truly hands on HR position so we are looking for someone who is highly motivated, CIPD qualified and possesses a strong awareness of operational HR issues. The HR team is small and as well as operational responsibility we are also looking for someone who can support the Leadership team with the more strategic aspects and a number of long-term projects including driving the results of the employee feedback survey.

The successful candidate will be highly skilled and comfortable with all aspects of generalist HR, including employee relations, learning and development and talent management. You will possess strong influencing skills, and be confident in the calibre of the advice you give to both employees and senior managers. You will be a proactive, creative individual that is results driven and who is confident in your ability to build trust and respect with colleagues.

With around 85 employees, we’re small and nimble but we have big ambitions and are always exploring and developing new ways to make our offices a great place to work. In return for your hard work as well as a competitive salary you can enjoy a range of benefits including our cycle-to-work scheme, free gym membership, 27 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro-rated for part-time employees), generous pension scheme and much much more.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who can combine strong business and organisational skills with a passion for people and community.

Please apply for the role via our website.  Application process is a completed application form available on our website as well as an up to date CV to be submitted to recruitment@coinstreet.org.

Closing date is 9am on Monday 16 July 2018. Interviews to take place on Wednesday 25 July 2018.

Coin Street Community Builders strives to be an equal opportunities organisation and all staff are expected to share this commitment.

Our values are:

  • Creative: By looking for solutions rather than problems I will find better ways of doing things
  • Collaborative: By respecting the views of others we will learn, grow and achieve more together
  • Committed: I do what I say I am going to do and do the best job I can.

The 3 Cs are lived by all staff at CSCB. You will be expected to demonstrate your understanding of the behaviours associated with these values during the recruitment process
