Henlee is working in partnership with this International Business with its UK Head Office in Swindon to recruit an experienced HR Advisor initially for 12 months to cover for maternity.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will be key in supporting the operation of the business by providing an effective and professional HR service covering the full generalist remit, including performance & attendance management, change management, employment law, recruitment & selection, employee development, policy advice and implementation, HRIS, payroll and administration.

Key Activities

* Being the point of contact for all managers and employees, providing support and guidance on the full range of HR issues, e.g. pay, benefits, absence management and case management
* Manage staff relationships promptly and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner
* Ensure Human Resource matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
* Support with grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations
* Support recruitment activities
* Work in partnership with line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing and staff management / development
* Working with the Recruitment Team as required identifying recruitment needs on a proactive basis and taking accountability for conducting effective end-to-end recruitment processes including production of all recruitment documentation
* Manage induction process and ensure one-month reviews are conducted
* UK and Ex-pat Payroll - Ensure monthly payroll for the function runs with 100% accuracy and timeliness, by working in conjunction with other members of the HR team, managers, employees and the Payroll team to implement appropriate changes to the HR payroll system (SAP).
* Legal and Policy Changes - take the lead in pro-actively identifying upcoming legal or best practice changes and how these will impact the Business

Skills & characteristics

* Experience of working in a commercial environment
* Numerate and analytical in approach
* Perseverance and resilience under pressure
* Ability to build a strong reputation by developing relationships in an approachable and friendly manner
* Ability to communicate effectively in both writing and verbally, with professionalism and discretion
* Highly motivated and flexible in approach to work, with demonstrable capacity for adapting to challenging and changing work and deadlines
* Ability to work in a busy environment without close supervision and to be able to prioritise and organise work effectively, ensuring strong attention to detail and a focus on delivery

Desirable skills & experience

* Ideally CIPD qualified with experience of working with HR colleagues across multiple locations both within and outside of the UK
* Experience or knowledge of UK employment legislation and working practices, preferably within a Blue-Chip environment
* Ex-pat exposure highly advantageous
* SAP exposure advantageous
