Senior HR Business Partner
Tate aims to be the most artistically adventurous and culturally inclusive global art museum. We deliver this aim through our four galleries across the UK - Tate Britain, Tate Modern, Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives - our digital platforms and collaborations with national and international partners. At the heart of Tate is our collection of art, which includes British art from the 16th century to the present day, and international modern and contemporary art from 1900.
Tate’s success relies on the commitment and talents of a large and diverse team of staff and volunteers. The Tate HR department delivers a service directly to c850 staff and works collaboratively with the People teams in our separate commercial operations - Tate Enterprises and Catering - and our major outsourced contract providers to ensure we are providing an environment where everyone working at Tate has the opportunity to be themselves and their best.
This is an exciting time to be joining Tate. Following the appointment of a new Director a year ago, the organisation is moving into a new stage of its development - where focussing on audiences and people is our priority.
As one of two Senior HR Business Partners, and supported by an HR Consultant, you will work collaboratively with directors and line managers to provide strategic and operational business support to a designated client group of managers and teams. You will combine this with leading on the wellbeing strand of our current people and culture strategy.
An experienced HR professional, you must be comfortable working across the full spectrum of HR issues and have experience of working at both a strategic and operational level within an organisation of similar scale and complexity. You must have highly effective interpersonal and influencing skills and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
Able to work in variety of situations you will be adept at developing trusted and effective working relationships with people at all levels. You will be someone who is known for their sound judgement, pragmatic approach and ability to coach and support others to work through complex issues to find solutions.
With the ability to play a leadership role in increasing diversity and inclusion at Tate, you must be committed to your own and the development of others and able to act as a role model for great personal and team leadership.
