Our client is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to promote their Fire & Rescue Service as an employer of choice.

Based at: Kempston, Bedfordshire
Hours: 37 per week (Flexitime with some out of hours working during evenings and weekends)
Salary: £29,055 to £33,136 per annum

The Recruitment & Positive Action Officer will do this by developing and implementing effective recruitment processes, in line with legislative requirements, best practice and through the incorporation of the Service’s positive action agenda.

The successful candidate will need to be an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or have significant experience in Recruitment.  This will include experience of engaging with different communities, promoting progression and opportunity and in-depth experience of using a wide range of candidate attraction techniques.  A current driving licence with no pending issues is also essential.

This is a public-facing role and it is essential to have the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
