We are now looking to recruit an exceptional individual who will make a significant impact to delivering both the strategic and operational elements in the provision of high quality Human Resources support and advice.
As the senior professional lead and advisor in relation to all Human Resources and workforce matters within Women and Children’s/Diagnostics Services the post holder will report to and work closely with the two Service Directors in delivering a diverse set of People objectives, both operational and strategic. The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse and committed group of clinical leaders and their teams to ensure employees are supported and motivated to provide the highest quality of patient care will be a key aspect of the role.
The post holder will be expected to be an influential player in the development and implementation of strategy and policy, managing the workforce implications of national and local plans and will come with the stature to interface at Board level across the organisation and beyond in the influencing and development of regional and national strategy.
As a key member of our senior Human Resources and Organisational Management Team you will also benefit from a professional and performance management link to the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development through the Depute Director. Working closely with the senior team to promote our ‘one-team’ vision and be a champion for change encouraging an organisational culture that supports effective behaviours and ways of working that demonstrate a clear commitment to NHS & NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde values.
A key focus of this role will include influencing and shaping the board’s workforce transformation strategy, the Board Moving Forward Together Programme and implementation of national clinical strategies. We are seeking a candidate whose leadership credentials will impact and challenge conventional approaches and drive forward change and improvement to enable identification of new ways of working, role redesign and improved performance measurement systems that are patient focused and improve service delivery.
You will work closely with the Human Resources Support and Advice Unit and People and Change Managers to support on Human Resources issues and policies together with working with service managers to focus on communication and engagement across the organisation.
This unique and highly visible role requires resilience, political acumen, strategic vision, tactical skills, and above all, leadership that will impact internally and externally to the organisation.
Educated to Masters level (or equivalent) in a relevant area, with Chartered membership of CIPD you will have significant Human Resources and senior management experience at a strategic level in a health or social care organisation or within another public or private sector customer facing organisation. The successful candidate will be able to evidence significant experience of strategy and policy development, workforce modernisation and effective partnership working.
