Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished HR Generalist who is passionate about creating an excellent employee experience, to support the Head of HR in delivering high quality HR services. This position is based in Leatherhead and working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am to 4.30pm.

As a Partner, you will be the primary point of contact for your allocated area, to partner senior managers in the development of organisational capability to meet the business plan objectives, in a collaborative way.

Acting as an employee champion and change agent, you are experienced, confident and pragmatic, with the ability to forge sound working relationships with staff at all levels. Supporting your senior managers as an experienced HR professional, you have the ability to deliver effective HR solutions with limited resources.

Key Responsibilities

* Work in partnership with managers and regional senior management teams on all aspects of the employee life cycle - recruitment & selection, employee relations, employee resourcing, training & developments, rewards & benefits, performance management, succession planning and retention
* Advise on and manage employee relations seeking advice as required. Build management capability and responsibility for managing ER issues.
* Support and advise managers on HR best practice and implications of change management including workforce development, restructuring, role redesign, retirement, redundancy and TUPE transfers.
* Support delivery of local workforce plans to ensure that the organisation remains an employer of choice and has capacity for growth within regional and national plans.
* Provide advice to managers managing sickness absences, OH services, redeployment and dismissal including the preparation of case files and assisting in informal and formal ill health capability meetings.
* Contribute to and assist delivery of HR Strategy on reward within the regions
* Support the Head of HR and regional management team on mobilisations and demobilisations of contracts where necessary
* Provide support to regional recruitment and resourcing plans, ensure they are fit for purpose and reviewed to achieve business targets using short and long-term resourcing interventions when required.
* Support managers in the completion of all mandatory training programmes. Support delivery of HR specific training to managers and employees, including all HR policies and procedures, supporting the upskilling of management capability across the business.
* Support delivery of HR projects and working groups when appropriate

What you'll need to succeed

* Sound, up to date knowledge of employment legislation
* Strong coaching skills
* Able to write clear, concise reports and policies across a broad range of HR issues
* Understanding and ability to work as a flexible team member, contributing to the delivery of business objectives
* Ability to analyse management information to produce reports to use it to best advantage
* Ability to present confidently to diverse audiences
* The personal qualities required e.g. exercising initiative, organising, problem solving
* Well-developed interpersonal skills - able to build relationships quickly across all levels
* Good communication and influencing skills
* Confident and Resilient. Organised and resourceful
* Customer focused approach with a genuine commitment in providing a high quality and effective HR service.

What you'll get in return

* Salary £27,000 - £36,000
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 9am to 4.30pm)
