Our client is a high performing social enterprise providing substance misuse services within the Dorset & Devon Communities, initiatives and development programmes in Devon and (in partnership with CareUK) substance misuse services in the prisons across Devon and Dorset. In Dorset their community service (Reach) is delivered in partnership with Avon & Wiltshire Partnership Trust (AWP) providing the clinical element and Essential Drug & Alcohol Services (EDAS) who lead the Young People’s offer. Their Devon community service Together Drug & Alcohol is provided by a partnership of this charity, Devon Doctors and Devon Partnership NHS Trust, supported by the Devon Together Alliance. Their mission is: To open doors for people affected by substance misuse so they can improve their lives and those of their families and communities.

An amazing opportunity has been created for an individual passionate about Resourcing to make a big impact on this successful and growing organisation: Based on successfully bidding and securing contracts over the last 12 months, their staff base has grown considerably to around 240. So, here in HR, they are evolving their team to match the scale and ambition of their new organisation: the new role of Resourcing Advisor is an integral part of that. They are creating a team fit for this larger organisation that is based on great customer service and quality advice whilst recognising that as a charity, their people are their number one asset.
You will develop the organisation’s ability to attract the best people to work for them, across their community, prison and central services teams. You will be organisational lead transforming their approach from reactive recruitment to a strategic resourcing approach. Whilst building this ethos you will continue to deliver an approachable and responsive service. As part of the role you will have responsibility for linking recruitment, induction and probation into a synchronised and managed process that ensures they give new staff the best possible welcome to the organisation, whatever the role.
They are looking for an individual with a passion for Resourcing and how it can transform the organisation. You will also possess superior recruitment administration skills as you will be delivering as well as developing the service.
Moreover, they are rolling out a Business Partner model of HR and so you will be great at building relationships and have experience of coaching and supporting managers to recruit the best staff possible. You will have a clear understanding of modern attraction strategies and techniques.
You will be joining a small and friendly team who help each other out and so naturally you will have opportunity to be involved in a full range of generalist HR activities. You will enjoy the support of this team and the HR Business Partner who holds overall accountability for Resourcing.
