In order for the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to be one of the world's top competition and consumer agencies, we rely on our HR team to deliver a high quality and customer focused service. As a HR Adviser in the Business Partnering team, you will play a key role ensuring the CMA has high performing teams and individuals able to deliver at pace.

The responsibilities of this role include both client-facing and project-based work. This will include providing expert advice to managers – building their confidence and capability when handling employee relations matters. You will also work directly with the Senior HR Adviser and Senior Business Partners, supporting engagement with trade unions and staff representatives, developing policies and making accurate records of formal meetings.

The role also provides the opportunity to manage some of the team’s core activities, such as policy development, casework, work to increase wellbeing and mental health, and ensuring the CMA becomes an even more inclusive and diverse organisation.

A Level 5 CIPD Diploma or equivalent/higher qualification, or working towards a professional people qualification is essential, however significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a formal qualification. Solid technical knowledge of employee relations, HR policy and casework is also essential.
