This is a family-owned manufacturiong business in Leicestershire.


As HR Manager you will have a broad remit, directly supporting the Managing Director of a small, single site. Key responsibilities will include:

- Advising managers on risk factors and compliance.
- Supporting and developing a site culture which promotes effective employee performance and engagement.
- Facilitating employee feedback projects and bench-marking initiatives to enhance employee engagement and business performance.
- Supporting managers with employee relations issues including disciplinaries & grievances and investigations.
- Management of the induction process and the Apprenticeship Scheme.
- Creation and delivery of the training programme.
- Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures including training of new managers.
- Monitoring and reviewing the performance appraisal system and developing as necessary.
- Monitoring absence levels with line managers and advising on appropriate action.
- Facilitating the annual salary review process with line managers.
- Attending monthly meetings including the Board Meeting.
- Facilitating the Employee Forum.


To be considered for this role, my client is looking for an experienced HR Manager who has been in a generalist, standalone HR role with the ability to build sound relationships with all levels including Directors.

Your broad HR experience will include performance management, employee relations including the development and implelenmtation opolicies and procedures as well as recruitment (including interviews and assessment), training and staff well-being.

You must also be a self starter, with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as being an effective coach and mentor.

You must be Qualified/Part Qualified CIPD.

Job Offer

Up to £38,000 per annum
