Interim Recruitment and Operations Advisor Job for a University in Central London. Paying £29,743 + (depending on expertise)
Fixed Term Contract until March 2019. Candidates must be available to start week commencing 15th October

This opportunity is to work within the Recruitment and Operations team, part of the University's HR Directorate. This team has responsibility for all recruitment and operational HR administration across the School. The team works in partnership with recruiting managers to provide expert guidance and administration on all aspects of recruitment and selection. In addition, the team administers the full employment life-cycle for every employee, working with systems and processes to effectively manage the administration process between the Recruitment and Operations team and the Payroll and Pensions team.

The Recruitment and Operations Advisor provides excellent recruitment and operational HR support to managers and staff across the University and acts as the first point of contact for applicants and new employees. Taking ownership of the end to end recruitment process will be your priority and ensuring there is a focus on customer experience. You will proactively manage the recruitment process from post approval stage onwards, ensuring you utilise the systems to track the progress of recruitment exercises. In addition to this,you will administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment and you will ensure daily that the HR database (Resource-link) and Applicant Tracking System (iGrasp) is up to date and accurate. The final stages of the recruitment process that will require your involvement is the pre-employment checks and on-boarding. You will prepare and issue employment-related documentation for newly recruited members of staff, ensuring offer letters, contracts, and other correspondence, are issued efficiently

Outside of the Recruitment remit, this role allows the successful candidate to be active in HR Operations aspects at the University. You will act as the first point of contact for all new starters at the university, providing them with relevant documentation such as contracts, first day letters and induction materials, and providing induction sessions where required. You will play an active role in supporting the maintenance of documentation relating to UKVI compliance, proactively approaching managers and employees to ensure that appropriate right to work checks are performed. You will issue standard letters and contracts, administer the probation review process for all staff, advise managers and staff on policies and procedures relating to terms and conditions of employment, and advise line managers on issues related to the employee life cycle in line with policies and procedures

This is a valuable opportunity for a Recruitment Advisor who is looking to gain more experience within the recruitment remit, but who is open to gaining more Generalist HR exposure. It is an opportunity for candidates to gain a further insight into the Higher Education environment and the recruitment process within this sector. It is also a 6 month fixed term contract, offering the successful candidate some stability over the Christmas and New Year period. This is an immediate vacancy and therefore candidates will need to be available to interview the week commending 8th October and start in the assignment the following week.

Candidates looking to apply will need to have specialist recruitment experience and have recently worked in the Higher Education sector and be either Associate CIPD or Chartered CIPD, or working towards either. Candidates will also need to be either immediately available or on no more than a one week notice period.
