Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust provides a wide range of inpatient and community-based mental health care to people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford and Trafford and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond. The Trust employs around 4,850 members of staff, delivering services from more than 140 locations including three hospital sites, a variety of community facilities and in prisons.  Recognised nationally as a high performing provider, we are working with partners across Greater Manchester to promote parity of esteem for mental health with physical health, shifting the focus to prevention, early intervention and resilience in communities and delivering a sustainable and integrated mental health system across the region.

Following the promotion of our Associate Director of HR to an Executive Director role in the NHS, we are seeking a replacement to join our high-performing HR and OD team. This is an exciting and wide-ranging role with responsibility for leading the delivery of our long-term workforce strategy and supporting the Executive Director of HR and Corporate Affairs to position the Trust as the employer of choice within mental health.

An experienced leader, you will evidence a strong track record of delivering sustained change and improvement across the strategic HR and OD agenda.  Comfortable in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including clinical professionals, trade unions and very senior managers you will further build the capacity and performance of the HR and OD team.  Fostering a culture of innovation, your collaborative approach will empower staff to deliver the very best standards of care for our service users and enhance our workforce productivity. If you have the energy, passion and vision to take on this dynamic role and you share our values and commitment to our service users, carers, staff and partners, then we’d love to hear from you.
