Overseeing our people strategy for this Strategic Workforce team, you will therefore support employees stretching from Whitehall to the Falklands, putting measures in place to ensure we have the workforce needed to deliver our defence initiatives. This is a broad transformation programme, in which you will help us make £900million of savings. From identifying, securing and managing talent to implementing learning and development opportunities and employee engagement, this is a multi-layered role with the scope to transform our future capabilities.
This is a fast-paced team, in which you will be expected to work quickly and efficiently, adapting to the immediate needs of the role and prioritising tasks accordingly. You will therefore have board or executive level HR experience at a complex organisation which supports a range of different workplaces. Confident in your ability to drive change, you will be fluent in all key HR functions such as reward and recognition and pay negotiations, and your influencing and negotiating skills will prove invaluable when shaping HR strategy. With good analytical and MI skills, you will be a natural leader with the confidence required to identify the changes we need to make. You will also have a meticulous knowledge of HR standards and employment law, and it would be desirable if you are MCIPD qualified.
