HR Business Partner
Devon based (currently Ivybridge)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly created Westcountry Schools Trust, currently employing approximately 1500 staff and growing. We are a dynamic organisation with our students and staff at our heart. Built on an extensive track record of excellence, the Trust combines a range of secondary colleges, primary schools and business units based in a variety of sites across Devon and Cornwall. We are also a stone’s throw from some of the best beaches and countryside in the country.
If you have a proven track record of professional, solutions-focused HR delivery, ideally in the education sector, here is the chance to make a significant contribution to supporting the vision and strategic aims of the Trust. You will provide advice and support on all aspects and at every stage of employee relations matters to a portfolio of colleges/schools/business units. You will act as the strategic interface between those links and the HR function whilst working on wider talent management initiatives, promoting knowledge transfer and enabling organisational change. You will have a role in policy development and delivery of key projects as well as in the delivery of HR training/induction to leaders.
You should be CIPD qualified to Level 7 and experienced and confident in working in partnership with leaders at all levels. You will be a strong team player with the ability to think clearly when under pressure and operate comfortably amidst ambiguity. You will be a credible individual with excellent communication and influencing skills who is able to build effective relationships and work successfully with partners through change.
