2-3 month Interim HR Advisor role, working for a University in Central London and paying up to £20/hour. Candidates looking to apply must be either immediately available or on no more than a one week notice period.

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the HR Adviser is responsible for proactively delivering an effective and efficient HR advisory service to various departments. You will provide employee relations guidance and support to managers, staff and administrative staff within the HR team. In addition to Employee Relations, you will be providing a dedicated HR service to the departments in one particular faculty, providing support where necessary to meet customer service delivery requirements.

75% of the role will be Employee Relations focused, including case management of misconduct, grievance and capability issues, as well as change management and redundancy situations. This will include working on investigations and sitting on hearing panels. Sickness Absence is monitored and it will be your responsibility to advise managers on how to manage sickness absence effectively.

In addition to Employee Relations you will have various Generalist duties, such as recruitment support including evaluating posts, participating in interview panels, compiling induction programmes for new starters and ensuring the appropriate management of contracts is taking place.

Finally, you will also have the opportunity to gain line management experience as you will manage one HR Administrator throughout this contract.

Candidates looking to apply will need to either be immediately available or on a one week notice period. My client is ideally looking for candidates to star the position on the 15th November. Ideal candidates would be CIPD Chartered or Associate Members and have experience working in a fast paced HR department at an HR Adviser, HR Consultant or Assistant HR Business Partner level. You will be able to demonstrate substantial experience of dealing with employee relations issues, e.g. handling disciplinary, grievance, performance and sickness cases, as well as change management processes.
