We’re looking for a senior HR professional to join our client to drive expertise and consistency in their approach to employee and industrial relations. This is an exciting time to join as they continue to drive their strategic HR transformation.

As part of this transformation this is a newly created role, supporting the UK and Ireland and the wider Global business to drive consistency of approach wherever possible.

As ER Manager you will partner with the business leaders, the VP of HR and the Head of HR to help drive business efficiency solutions through the workforce. You will also manage the relationships with Unions, supporting to engage them on partnership requirements and facilitate change activity as appropriate.

Proactive and positive in your approach you will offer the agility to work across all levels of a business, providing employee relations and policy advice, interventions and solutions to meet current and future objectives.

An experienced negotiator you will lead relationships and key negotiations with unions and other representative forums as appropriate with a view to securing business performance, employee engagement and legal compliance and working closely with HR peers you will design and deliver strategies, policies and practices that are aligned with the objectives of the business.  This will include providing employee relations and employment policy and process, advice, guidance, insight, training and expertise to ensure all teams are able to provide employee relations and policy advice and drive a high performing culture.

We are open as to where you may have developed your career to date although experience of working with a blue collar work force (distribution, engineering) combined with white collar would be advantageous.

This role can be based out of any of our client’s key sites including Crewe, Worcester, Manchester, and Basingstoke. As a new role, you will of course seek to be highly visible and mobile therefore travel to other locations will be a given.
