Faculty / Directorate

In order to support DMU on its ambitious journey, the People and Organisational Development Directorate have some exciting new opportunities in the HR team.

Recently restructured to meet the requirements of our ambitious agenda, we have opportunities at team leader and senior advisory level. Candidates must be suitably qualified, have an infinite desire for service improvement and exemplary customer service skills, be able to balance the need for robust HR/Payroll advice with pragmatic business focussed solutions and be able to work with key stakeholders. Knowledge of HE is desirable but a pride in delivering high quality services is essential to meet the needs of our ambitious and growing university.

Role

This is a new post, created to bring together a team of HR Advisors, providing advice to the University on ER issues. Working closely with the Policy and Strategy colleagues and HR Business Partners, you will lead the provision of support to busy managers and academic leaders regarding all aspects of performance management, advice on terms and conditions, policy interpretation, change management and liaison with Trade Unions.

Ideal Candidate

In order to succeed you will have demonstrable experience of managing complex ER matters to successful conclusion, proven influencing skills and the gravitas to work with senior stakeholders. You will be a strong people leader, preferably with a coaching qualification, a consummate professional, calm, resilient and able to articulate clear and robust advice.
