Required January 2019 or earlier

Already the country’s best performing trust for the new Progress 8 measure at KS4, the City of London Academies Trust is driven by ambition: to deliver world-class results as we combine the heritage and tradition of the City of London with creativity and innovation. We have a proven track record of school improvement, offering students an exciting curriculum and opportunities to perform, showcase their talents and experience the world of work outside of the classroom.

We now seek an HR officer to join our administrative team and work pro-actively with the business manager, the senior leadership team, teachers, heads of department and the wider support team across a range of HR activities including recruitment and selection, data management and reporting, compliance and general HR administration.

Meticulous attention to detail is paramount, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet critical deadlines. On top of this, you should be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and be willing to undertake further training as required for the role.  If you are working towards your CIPD qualification already, so much the better.

Normal hours will be between 8.00 and 16.00. It is expected that you would be available to support certain meetings outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued.

In this post you will play an instrumental role in school improvement, developing whole-school systems and ensuring that the school is outstanding in every category within two years. You will be working with a team whose mission it is to embed excellence in everything we do.

Further details are available from the school web-site. www.highgatehill.cola.org.uk

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process an enhanced Disclosure and Barring check will be required.

Closing date for applications midnight Sunday 25thNovember 2018 with interviews being held Wednesday 28thNovember 2018.
