Your new company

Your new company is located just outside of the Wigan area, easily accessible from the surrounding areas and boasts multiple sites across the UK. Your new employers are heavyweights in the manufacturing world and proving resilient in the economy after an extremely successful financial year. They are now hoping for a HR Advisor to join their well-established team on a fixed term basis to oversee their latest projects.

Your new role

Your new role will entail working in a unionised environment, overseeing your own casework and an involvement with recruitment methodology and MI reporting. You will have the opportunity to be hands on with the apprenticeship schemes and actively involved in the induction training and processes. You will have involvement with change projects with the support of your HR manager and provide coaching and mentoring to line managers on employee relations issues such as disciplines, grievances and absence management.

What you'll need to succeed

You will preferably be a CIPD qualified HR professional that has worked within a HR Advisor capacity with experience of working in a similar industry, preferably with union experience. You will have strong experience within employee relations and looking after caseloads and able to advise on 1st line HR queries. You will be confident in your abilities with HR systems and MS Excel as well as some exposure to HR projects.

What you'll get in return
