Your new company

Your new company is based outside of Preston in a busy manufacturing site. This company boasts a multi-site operation with a large and unionised workforce, and are a company brand known nation-wide. Due to an increasing headcount and business ventures, our client are now looking for a HR Advisor on a FTC with the opportunity to go permanent dependant on performance.

Your new role

Your new job will involve working alongside unions, dealing with complex employee relations issues such as discipline, grievance, absence management and more. Your job will require you to deal with first line HR queries, work alongside line managers to ensure compliance and coach on employee relations matters. You will run MI reports and focus on employee retention and sickness absence and provide support to the larger HR function.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a CIPD qualified HR Advisor experienced in all arms of employee relations and able to oversee your own caseload. You will have experience in similar unionised environments, be a self-starter who needs minimal instruction. You will be familiar with employment law and have dealt with unions. You will be comfortable advising line managers and have experience in employee retention and blue collar work forces.
