6 Month FTC

Your new company

My client are part of a global specialist manufacturing group with a number of high profile customers and multiple UK operations. They now have a requirement for an experienced HR professional to join their team as a HR Coordinator to cover maternity leave for at least 6 months with an immediate start available.

Your new role

As HR Coordinator, you will ensure all day to day people related processes for both the Crewe and Wednesbury facilities are carried out in accordance with business needs and external requirements, with the aim to increase organisational performance through people. You will be an ambassador of HR across the business to promote an effective and proactive HR service provision.

Key Accountabilities:


* Administration of all pay related activities (starters, leavers, changes) onto ADP HR system
* Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data to central payroll
* Analysis of full employee lifecycle and resource costs to inc. recruitment activity, absence, employee relations, leavers, overtime and to provide key HR metrics data
* Capture all HR costs - working with finance - on the HR Budget tracker. Analysing spend and forecasting spend where possible
* Process documentation and prepare reports relating to HR activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, etc.)
* Compile and update employee records (electronic and manual copies) ensuring compliance with GDPR. Maintain HRIS data monthly - accurate and up-to-date
* Administration and co-ordination of all on-boarding activities throughout the employee life cycle
* Provide effective and proactive HR advice and guidance, particularly in respect of employee relations, rewards, training, development and resourcing to management and employees
* Proactive support and advice to line managers in all aspects of employee relations: disciplinary and grievance, attendance management and performance reviews
* Provide support and advice to line managers in respect of recruitment and resourcing
* Assist with day to day operations of the HR function and duties. Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.) as required
* Be an active member of the employee focus group and drive the suggestion scheme activities
* Support the business and the HR Business Partner in the development of a thorough communications plan
* Manage relationships with third parties (temporary staff agencies, training providers, health services providers, public services etc.) Check and process invoices in a timely manner
* Project work for the Group as and when required
* To undertake any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business


What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be CIPD level; 3 or 5 qualified or equivalent with demonstrable experience operating in a generalist HR support role, ideally within a manufacturing or closely aligned sector. You will be a strong influencer who can effectively communicate at all levels of the organisation, work with great organisation and attention to detail with a sense of urgency with the ability to prioritise and focus to recognise critical path activities and achieve business goals and objectives.

You will be highly self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision, have strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills and have the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You will be able to demonstrate proficient knowledge of HRIS and computer systems including MS Office, Word and Excel, databases and programs.


What you'll get in return

The role will pay a salary of c£23,000-£25,000 pro rata for the 6 month FTC with an excellent benefits package. Candidates must be in a position to start a new role towards the end of May to be considered for this opportunity.
