Your challenge here will be to ensure that an efficient, effective and responsive people operational service is delivered right across the Group. Your particular focus will be on change and continuous improvement via the development and review of people systems, processes and best practice to support the Group Strategy. Working collaboratively across the Directorate and the Group to ensure key targets are achieved will be important too, as will providing the sort of leadership that will result in high performing and engaged teams with a positive and influential reputation. Modernising recruitment practices and ensuring line managers get the support they need on people management – all are part of the mix in this high profile role.

As well as an impressive track record in People Operations/Human Resources, you have up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of UK HR best practice and employment law and experience of its application. We’ll also be looking for the ability to continually review and proactively identify improvements to service delivery to enhance performance. Used to driving, managing, planning and implementing change, you’re great at handling tendering and managing HR contracts. What's more, you’re an inspirational leader with great coaching, negotiating and influencing skills, a flair for analysis, problem solving and innovation and an innate ability to quickly gain credibility with everyone you deal with.
