Description
Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer, and being the most senior HR professional in the business, the Head of HR will be a strategically aligned HR expert who leads a HR team in delivering a value-add and commercially astute service to the business.
You will be the key interface with key internal stakeholders (Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team and Senior Management Team) and recognised Trade Union representatives.
You will formulate and lead a transformation programme that consists of structural, systematic and cultural change that is aligned to a business strategy associated to growth. You will have a focus on managing the ER, IR, Talent, Engagement & Wellbeing and Diversity & Inclusion agendas.
You will also be a natural and engaging communicator who will look to engage and develop your own HR team in line with the values of the business.
The Head of HR will be based at the Cheshire site and be geographically mobile to be at other national sites, as and when required. This travel is likley to be minimal.
Profile
As the Head of HR, you will be confident and assertive - with an outgoing personality and an informal, yet professional style. You must be able to communicate effectively to all areas of the business; grassroots to leadership.
Understanding the business operations, the talent employed and the strategic focus the business, you will be a natural business advisor to the leadership team. As an HR leader, you will be the moral compass of the business, and look to evolve behaviours at all levels - within your own HR team, and within the wider business.
You will be equipped with an astute toolkit which will enable you to manage projects within a senior generalist role; ER, IR, Talent, Engagement, D&I etc. You will have a natural flair to develop visionary and creative projects that improve a business's people and commercial results.
As this is the first HR leadership level role, my client seeks someone who has already lead and developed a HR team driving performance and values driven initiatives.
You must have experience within a fast-paced, dynamic and highly unionised environment, which you have taken through a transformative journey. You will ideally have a proven and seasoned track record within a multi-site Food Manufacturing and / or FMCG environment.
You will be CIPD qualified and ideally have a degree within a HR related subject.
You will be able to work within the Cheshire area and be geographically mobile to be present across a national multi-site footprint as and when required.
Job Offer
This role will paid £50,000 to £60,000 per annum (potentially more dependent on experience). You will also receive a performance related bonus, along with a suite of benefits.
