Job Role:

Following its acquisition by CGA, CPL Online have a great opportunity, we are looking for talented and hardworking HR Advisor to support the company during an exciting phase of development. CPL Online Ltd is a Tech business with ambitions plans for growth.

Moving the HR model from a “hands on” personnel approach to become more devolved through driving the HR system capability, developing policies, core processes and upskilling managers to support this new approach.  Strong HR System capability is vital as well as the ability to advise and support across all aspects of the HR life cycle at various levels.   You will be a strong generalist, confident, able to work autonomously and hit the ground running. You will have experience of administering health and safety procedures.

Human Resources:

  • Developing the core processes across HR, communicating and upskilling managers to take the new approach; aligning to our parent company – CGA where possible.
  • Advising Senior Managers of forthcoming legislative changes and their impact on the organisation.
  • Coaching managers through various people issues such as absenteeism, change management, recruitment and disciplinary matters.
  • Developing and fully utilizing the People HR system including all self-service facilities to drive and underpin all HR processes.
  • Identify regular HR reports/KPIs and provide pro-active management information and analysis to the senior management team.
  • Review reward and benefits package through benchmarking and making recommendations for changes that support high performance and staff retention.
  • Review and develop policies and make recommendations for changes.
  • Develop and deliver short upskilling sessions on processes and good practice.
  • Design and develop an induction programme using our own inhouse technology.
  • Design and introduce a staff engagement survey, analyzing and presenting the results and developing follow up action plans with SMT.
  • Assist and facilitate the recruitment process; agreeing terms with recruitment sources; posting adverts and supporting the design of interview questions and techniques.
  • Experience in leading projects, writing business cases and introducing new HR initiatives.
  • Managing and administering the HR system, adding and inputting new starters/leavers and changes.
  • Produce contracts of employment and issuing new starter packs.
  • Write and issue letters and ensure the transactional elements of HR are compliant and well managed.
  • Manage the absence line and add sickness absence information to the PeopleHR System.
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure that payroll information is accurate.

Health and Safety:

The role does include some delegation of health and safety to HR.

  • Knowledge and ability to oversee the H&S training, compliance and processes.
  • Ensure that annual driver checks are complete, and records managed.
  • Ensure that the correct number of Fire Marshals / First Aiders are appointed and in place.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety displays are put in place in line with HSE requirements.
  • Ensure that health and safety is included as part of new starter induction.

Essential:

  • Level 5 CIPD qualification
  • Excellent current knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent HR System experience
  • Experience of developing and introducing new policies and processes
  • Confident about developing and delivering short upskilling sessions
  • Experience of managing and championing cultural change and introducing new processes across a business
  • Strong administrative capability
  • IT savvy
  • Health and Safety knowledge (IOSH or NEBOSH)

Desirable:

  • Experience of cultural change
  • Health and Safety knowledge (IOSH or NEBOSH)
  • DSE trained
