Role Purpose
The Council has a 2022 blueprint for success and a programme of transformation activities to get us there; including a new civic centre, digital by default, service redesign and the development of our organisational culture. The structure and delivery of the Human Resources service has been reviewed to ensure that the organisation and our people are supported, developed and engaged throughout this change. A number of new roles have been created to lead these developments and support new ways of working across the Council.
We are looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner, Projects, to support a specialist HR team and the wider HR function. It's an exciting time to join as there is a new team in place and significant projects across the HR and Council.
Key Responsibilities
The postholder will lead priority projects relating to employment law, pay and conditions, data protection and HR policies and procedures. You will analyse workforce data, identify root cause issues, present recommendations and implement improvements. You will liaise with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have extensive knowledge/experience of employment law and the provision of effective HR advice and guidance on best practice and policy development. You will have demonstrable project management experience in a similar role and will be able to influence and challenge at the highest levels of the organisation.
