The HR function within NCA are working to deliver a new HR Operating Model and transform the way we recruit and develop people. This includes a new model for learning, underpinned by a stronger approach to the workforce planning and compelling people deal. It’s a really exciting time to join HR at the NCA. Our people transformation is one of the agency’s key objectives and it’s a real opportunity to shape the future of HR. We are currently looking to recruit G1 Head of Human Resources.

The key responsibilities for the Heads of Human Resources role will be to lead and direct a specific area of HR (such as learning, operations or services) and add value to the business through policy and strategy development, business planning, service delivery and governance. This role will also involve ensuring that the agency’s diversity, inclusion and values underpin all HR activity through both their personal behaviour and by embedding the NCA’s values in every one of the policies and processes in their area of responsibility.  Whilst also building productive working relationships by segmenting and managing multiple stakeholder groups in complex environments and develop strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.

The ideal candidates will have a proven HR background and demonstrable knowledge of leading edge HR practice including employment law demonstrated through MCIPD or equivalent experience, and a track record of successfully developing HR capability. You must also have the ability to lead multi-functional HR teams through change and a track record working collaboratively with partners across the organisation to provide high quality services and strategic advice based on strong workforce planning principles. Successful candidates will be required to combine sound judgment with a pragmatic approach - balancing integrity of process with a can do mentality. They will also be adept at juggling multiple requirements, ensuring the needs of the NCA are met, at the same time as those of external partners.

If you want to make the UK a safer place, apply today. See the candidate information pack for more detail.
