Head of Organisational Development
Bristol Water is an established business which employs over 500 people supplying water to over a million customers in the Bristol area. The business is undergoing a period of change as it prepares for the next cycle of its business plan. A key area of focus is on the development of the team which ranges from Head Office colleagues to front line roles including inspectors, customer services and asset maintenance.
We are looking to hire an exceptional Head of Organisational Development to lead the design and implementation of the Organisational Development Strategy which will ensure that our people are developed to reach their full potential and that we meet and exceed the aims of our business plan. The role is accountable for all aspects of organisational development, including the development of innovative and effective learning and development solutions, supporting the organisational culture, creating the competency framework, performance management, leadership skills and supporting the employee engagement strategy for the business. The role will also be involved in the business wide transformational change programme with a heavy emphasis on creating an exceptional customer experience. Managing our talent and succession process will also be a requirement, and the facilitation of a coaching culture is also a key deliverable.
Our ideal candidate will be highly driven and ambitious, with a proven track record in the creation of an end to end organisational development strategy which has led to exceptional business performance. A background in a customer facing business is desirable, with strong leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the business. CIPD qualified with qualifications in psychometric testing will also be advantageous. This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable with the strategic side of organisational development but who is happy to be hands on when required. An individual who is highly personable, enthusiastic and passionate about people and organisational development would be the best fit for this role. Experience of working in a regulated environment would be also be useful.
We offer a base salary of up to £55k, plus extensive benefits including bonus potential of up to 15%, 27 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme and free parking).
