Your new company
Your new company is an extremely well known, diverse and heavily unionised manufacturing company based in the Carlisle area with a multi-site operation, overseeing circa 1000 headcount and one of the biggest manufacturing sites known in the UK. This heavy-weight in this industry is now looking to recruit a Training and Development Officer to join their training team on a permanent basis with the potential to progress.

Your new role
Your new job will require you to plan, develop and deliver training across the site according to business needs, working with the wider team to develop training programmes. You will be looking for cost-effective solution to training needs for the company, manage data on training and gap analysis and produce reports accordingly to assess the training needs of the business as well as liaise with line managers directly to assess training requirements amongst staff, administer the performance management system and assist your training manager with the evaluation process in addition to assisting with the employee engagement with the training programmes.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be level three or equivalent in learning and development with a training qualification and will have worked within a similar role and industry. You will be resilient and a self-starter, comfortable with creating and delivering training sessions.
