Head of Human Resources
Bristol Water is an established business which employs over 500 people supplying water to over a million customers in the Bristol area. The business is undergoing a period of change as it prepares for the next cycle of its business plan. A key area of focus is on providing an effective HR service to the business which ranges from Head Office colleagues to front line roles including inspectors, customer services and asset maintenance.
We are looking to hire an exceptional Human Resources professional to lead a team of HR Business Partners and HR Advisors, the role will also act as the deputy to the HR Director. This is a new role which will be accountable for shaping the long term HR business partnering proposition across the whole business. The role will lead the provision of all aspects of generalist HR support ensuring that the business areas create high levels of employee engagement, deliver effective management of their teams and that any people issues are managed effectively and in line with the people policies. The role will be accountable for supporting the Executive Team from an HR perspective along with facilitating the delivery of the overall People Plan through the business partner team, working in conjunction with specialist HR colleagues. Key elements of the role are to embed a business partnering approach across the business ensuring that HR is viewed as a value adding function and one which supports the transformational change plans longer term.
Our ideal candidate will be highly driven and ambitious, with a proven track record of delivery against a range of KPI’s and of HR initiatives which have added value to the business. A high degree of commercial acumen is required along with excellent stakeholder management skills. A background in a customer facing business is desirable, with strong leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the business. Preferably CIPD qualified, this role will suit someone who is equally comfortable with the strategic side of HR but who is happy to be hands on when required. The role will offer long term career advancement with the potential to be successor to the HR Director.
We offer a base salary of up to £75k, plus extensive benefits including bonus potential of up to 25%, car allowance, 27 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme and free parking.
