HR Business Partner – Fixed term until March 2020

Salary:           £37,717 up to £40,997 per annum starting salary dependant

This is a fixed term post which will support the Head of HR and wider HR team until March 2020.  We will consider secondments from other public sector organisations.  We are looking for candidates that can “hit the ground running” and available to start in early 2019.

Role Purpose

You will work closely with the HR team to deliver operational and strategic HR outcomes, as a genuine Business Partner to senior managers and their extended teams.

You will be expected to manage the HR operational team which includes an Assistant HR BP, two HR Advisors and an apprentice.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a highly credible and talented Business Partner to join our existing HR team.

To be successful in this role you need to demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively and with confidence to people at all levels, be able to establish trust and confidence with internal and external stakeholders and work well under pressure.

As well as holding a significant employee relations remit, you will deliver HR programmes to the organisation, including effective and robust workforce planning to support recruitment, maintaining and building relationships with third parties whilst promoting excellent governance.   Whilst working flexibly and collaboratively with other colleagues across the organisation to proactively identify areas for service improvement.

You will need to be able to work well within a team and be able to coach and guide the existing HR operational team to enable them to use their skills effectively.

If you are looking to join a HR team that has the support of the organisation and management team and where your ideas will be listened to, then this is the right place for you.

To apply you will need to submit and up to date CV and a supporting statement that clearly explains, with examples, how you meet the requirements in the person specification.

Application deadline is Monday 31 December at 5pm.  We reserve the right to close the advert earlier should a sufficient number of applications be received.
