Part Time ER Advisor

Your new company
A global retail distribution business with a Head Office based in Warwickshire.

Your new role
A 14 month FTC to cover maternity leave, starting in the new year.


* To support the "business as usual" case load as required.
* To provide comprehensive, pragmatic and proactive customer focused Employee Relations (ER) support and advice to managers and employees, managing any related change activity including redundancy, TUPE and T&C's / contractual changes.
* To manage cases, improving the people management ability of line managers and reducing the number/complexity of employee relations issues.
* Work as part of the EAT providing quick, accurate and professional support to managers on a variety of ER issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


* To support the "business as usual" Employee Relations team on the case management of cases such as grievance, disciplinary, conduct, capability, health, Long Term Sick, probationary, appeals, whistleblowing, drug and alcohol testing etc.
* In the event of any large scale OD projects, provision of comprehensive, pragmatic and proactive customer focused Employee Relations (ER) support and advice to managers and employees, managing all related change activity including the completion of large scale and complex T&C's / contractual changes, redundancy and TUPE programs.
* Provision of expert advice in line with the relevant company policy whilst ensuring legal compliance and balancing commercial risk.
* Develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with customer base, demonstrating professional credibility.

* Keeping abreast of all relevant employment legislation and forthcoming changes.
* Any other reasonable duties as required to support the business.

What you'll need to succeed

* CIPD qualified
* Sound knowledge of best practices of Human Resources with experience working in a HR Advisory / ER case management capacity
* Strong Redundancy, T&C's changes and TUPE experience
* Significant, Discipline, Grievance, Appeals, Performance Management experience
* Ability to influence discussions with groups and individuals
* Excellent judgement and decision making skills
* Experience in remotely coaching managers through difficult situations
* Excellent working knowledge of employment law and current legislative changes
* Build strong working relationships with customers base
* Ability to prioritise workloads and work to strict deadlines
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Conscientious, accurate and hardworking
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to draft appropriate, legally compliant letters and correspondence in response to ER issues
* High level of attention to detail - accuracy is paramount
* Numerically literate; able to analyse data and produce meaningful statistical analysis
* Demonstrated confidentiality; experience of dealing with extremely confidential and sensitive issues
* Good all round level of IT skills, including use of HR databases, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
* Full Driving Licence
