Interim HR Projects and Systems Officer- 4 month contract- working for a University in Central London. £36-43k

Interim HR Projects and Systems Officer Job- 4 month contract so candidates will be required to be either immediately available or on no more than a one week notice period.

The role holder will work in the HR Projects, Equalities and Systems team and work across the HR Directorate on process improvement projects (normally systems- focused improvements), diversity initiatives, provision of management information services and HR-related systems support. The role holder will play a key role on delivering HR management information, enhancing the use of HR data in support of the university's strategic objectives within HR and across the university. They will support the work of the HR Lead in delivering projects and HR system developments to improve processes across the School. You will lead a small team and provide cover for the Lead in her absence, You will also oversee HR systems support and pro-actively promote the best use of HR systems within/out of HR.

This role will focus on a number of areas including statutory reporting, HR analytics and adhoc reporting, freedom of information requests and project work. The project work could include the Resource Link Release 21 and 22 Upgrades, including UAT, front end configuration and updating user guides. Additional projects will include VT Casuals Project, Creation of new Fractionals VT and HR process improvement, including workflows.

Candidates will need to have worked in the Higher Education sector previously whereby they have been involved in HESA returns because in this role they will be expected to ensure business continuity of the return through documentation and tasks, they will identify any issues with HESA data and address these. Any additional experience with statutory, higher education reporting and equality charter/standards reporting would also be highly beneficial and advantageous.

Candidates looking to apply for this role will need to be available to start a new assignment in January 2019 and therefore any notice periods of longer than a one week period can not be accommodated. The ideal candidate would have a degree with a statistical component (maths, computer science, economics etc) or equivalent experience. You will be able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the Staff HESA return, or the experience of managing data collection for the submission of a complex statutory statistical survey. You will also have extensive experience of the assimilation, manipulation, interpretation and presentation of complex data from different sources/data sets. It is also essential that candidates looking to apply for this job have experience of the background configuration of HR Information systems, such as Resource-link.
