HR Manager - 12-14 Month FTC

Your new company

My client are an online gaming and entertainment business with sites in London and Stoke on Trent. They have a requirement for an experienced HR Business Partner/Manager to join the business to cover a period of maternity for c12-14 months.

Your new role


Working closely with the HR Advisor, the HR Business Partner will work closely with the management team to design, develop and deliver an integrated, supportive and solutions-focused HR service.

Key responsibilities:


* Provide advice and guidance to managers and team leaders on employee relations matters including grievances and disciplinaries, and flexible working requests.
* Support Managers and Team Leaders with sickness case management
* Build effective working relationships with the Managers and Team Leaders through collaboration and gaining credibility, to influence, coach, support and develop them in their approach and consideration of employee relations issues, ensuring they understand the impact of these on the individual and business.
* Create and review HR policies and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose, meet our legal obligations under employment law and they are representative of the culture and values.
* Drive the implementation of HR strategy within the Stoke office to ensure the effective implementation of Group policies in a timely way ensuring appropriate training, development and succession planning
* Collaborate with HR colleagues to develop innovative, timely and cost effective best practice HR solutions that can be implemented across the Group efficiently and effectively with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement
* Lead key HR projects associated with accountabilities to enable the HR department to provide a first class and proactive service to the company
* Chair the information and consultation forum amongst employee representatives and undertake group consultations as and when required
* Support the business in driving employee engagement through interpretation of annual survey results, facilitation of action groups and supporting leaders to drive forward defined actions
* Provide expertise on organisational design, with accountability for shaping and implementing all people aspects of organisation change and transformation
* Manage the day-to-date workload of the HR Advisor
* Maintain continuous professional development in line with CIPD best practice, including attending seminars and external training courses.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have the ability to manage and prioritise a high workload volume with a strong focus on customer service delivery and keen to pursue a role in Human Resources. You must possess excellent communication skills and have a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, some knowledge of website administration would be an advantage. You will need to be a little flexible on travel as on occasion you may need to visit their London offices.

What you'll get in return

The role attracts a salary of c£40,000 plus an excellent benefits [package, including free parking and a generous holiday entitlement.
