Your new company
Your new company is a rapidly expanding business and leading manufacturers with bases across the North West. Due to a period of positive change and growth, our client is now looking to welcome a permanent HR Advisor to their expanding team in Chorley, reporting into the HR Manager, with a clear pathway for progression to HR Business Partner.
Your new role
Your new job will see you supporting your HR Manager in overseeing the HR function. You will be coaching and mentoring line managers, producing reports to identify skill gaps and needs with proposed solutions. You will work closely with your team to produce MI reports on sickness absence and implement interventions for employee retention and engagement. You will be providing first line HR advice and overseeing the implementation of a new appraisal and benefits system in addition to salary benchmarking, union negotiations and managing your own caseloads on disciplinaries, grievances and assisting with elements of health and safety.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a CIPD qualified HR professional and experienced, generalist advisor, accustomed to managing caseloads and having worked within a similar industry. You will have had exposure in training or mentoring. You will be a problem-solver with demonstrable experience in assisting with HR projects, proficient in using MS software as well as adept to using HR systems.
What you'll get in return
Our client is offering a salary of up to £29000 for the right candidate, in addition to a pay review upon completion of probationary period, 10% bonus, childcare vouchers, medical and dental insurance, and a generous pension contribution.
