Developing our organisation to deliver our future

Domesday Book. Shakespeare’s will. Tweets from Downing Street. War time records. These are just some of the 11 million items held by The National Archives. With a collection like this – one of the largest in the world – you’d think we could rest on our laurels a bit. Well think again. Organisational Development will be critical going into the New Year. And this brand new role puts you at the heart of the action.

About the role

You’ll work closely with our senior leaders and teams to champion and bring about strategic organisational change. Putting consultancy, coaching, facilitation and OD expertise into practice, you’ll lead and execute the design, development and implementation of change programmes and projects, and evaluate their effectiveness. And the support and facilitation you’ll develop and deliver will be bespoke and tailored to improving organisational capability. You’ll take an active role in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Forum - leading on projects that help us deliver our ambitions to be a truly inclusive organisation for both staff and visitors.

About you

This is a role for an experienced OD practitioner who can translate and put OD theory into practice and demonstrate strong consultancy skills. So you’ll be engaging, analytical and able to generate options and build organisation-wide commitment to solutions. Designing and delivering engaging and developmental interventions is your bread and butter, and you’ll use your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build strong partnerships with stakeholders across the business. Not to mention your ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, whilst taking an active role as a member of a small, skilled OD and HR department.

Join us here in beautiful Kew, just 10 minutes’ walk from the Overground and Underground stations, and you can expect an excellent range of benefits. They include a pension, flexible working and discounts with local businesses (e.g. beauty salons and bars). We also offer wellbeing resources (e.g. on-site therapists) and have an on-site gym, restaurant, shop and staff bar.

Closing date: 3rd February 2019
