Assistant Director of People
The Assistant Director of People (ADP) leads the delivery of a professional HR business-partner & organizational development service to local stakeholders. This entails enabling and supporting the site, service, clinical board, network and corporate teams to ensure the highest standards of employee engagement, optimal workforce efficiency and effectiveness.
As a highly visible, local, leader for the People agenda, the Assistant Director will act as the strategic partner to her/his leadership team to shape local strategies to meet business and service needs. They will ensure the consistent application of the agreed Trust People strategy, policies and processes. At all times, the ADP will be the conscience of the organization in the WeCare values.
The ADP will also act as the local account director for all services supplied to their site/services by the People function, thereby commissioning those services, accounting for them to local stakeholders and addressing issues for improvement and resolution.
Where improvement or transformation programmes are centred on a site, the ADP will ensure the workforce component is designed, implemented and evaluated within a programme management framework.
The ADP may also lead multi-site / service improvements or play a leading support role to the wider people team. A collegiate and high trust relationship is critical to the success of the People function operating model and matrix working.
As a key member of the Trust’s People leadership team (PLT), the ADP provides senior colleagues with insight into local operational and strategic challenges, helping to ensure alignment between service needs and central support.
