This post is Term Time Only for 42 weeks per annum
The London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) provides a traded HR advisory service for schools across 18 London Boroughs including part of Surrey. The Guildford Diocesan Board of Education has decided to develop a similar service and is working with the LDBS to establish one from April 2019.
We now need to recruit an energetic, flexible generalist HR Adviser to be based part time in the Guildford area advising schools in Surrey and Hampshire and to work at least one day per week supporting LDBS schools in Surrey and West London. The role will require a competent HR practitioner who is confident to work without supervision advising Headteachers, Governors and school based staff.
Experience of working in a unionised environment and a pragmatic approach to advising on and working with schools to resolve HR cases is essential. A sound knowledge of the education sector and some of the current issues facing schools would be desirable.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a new service while helping to expand one which is already established. The successful applicant will be pro-active, flexible and committed to developing strong customer relationships and delivering a high quality service.
For further details and an application form or to arrange an informal discussion about the role please contact terri.patterson@london.anglican.org
Closing Date : Noon on 21st January 2019
Interview Date : 29th January2019
