ArtisHR are currently supporting a lovely business in central Bristol with the recruitment of a HR Manager for an 18 month FTC, the role is paying £42-49,000 pa and offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home.

The post holder will have overall responsibility and accountability for the effective delivery of all employee relations activity through the management of the Policy, Advice and Business Partnering Team.

The post holder will also support and drive a number of strategic and operational HR initiatives. They will work closely with members of the HR Management Team and Senior Leadership Team in achieving organisational objectives.

*To provide authoritive, specialist advice and support to managers on complex HR issues;
*Responsibility for the development and maintenance of core transactional HR processes;
*Support the HR team's strategic objectives by acting as the HR lead on a range of different projects and responsibilities;
*Lead on the integration of new services into the organisation ensuring systems, processes and culture align with the existing organisation;
*In partnership with the HR Director, support cultural changes across the organisation, embedding HR policies and procedures into working practices;
*Take the lead on complex and / or large TUPEs ensuring the legal requirements are met;
*In partnership with senior colleagues in HR and operations, be instrumental in pioneering and driving key change initiatives and projects across the organisation;
*To develop, review, consult on and implement organisational wide HR policies and procedures;
*Act as the senior HR employment relations lead and case manager - assessing and recommending courses of action on complex, specialist HR issues ensuring they are manged smoothly and to the appropriate conclusion with the least risk;
*Provide strategic, specialist advice to the organisation on the workforce impacts and implications of short to medium term business planning;
*Deputise as a proxy for the Director and Deputy Director of HR, attending meetings and representing them and their interests on programmes and projects;
*Deliver own portfolio of projects and work which will include the implementation of organisational projects within HR as well operating as the directorate's lead on largescale organisation-wide projects;
*Coach leaders in how their actions reflect and drive culture and how to make culture and change real to employees;
*Support cases that result in employment tribunal proceedings, providing a strategic approach to the management of claims;
*At as a lead negotiator in discussions and consultations with trade unions;
*To act as panel members at disciplinary, grievance and capability hearings and/or appeals;
*Produce and present people related Management Information and cost/benefit analyses to support decision making and targeting of issues at senior leadership meetings;
*Support and advise on the development of HR and workforce systems, services and processes and ensure robust performance management of HR services.
Skills Specification:
*Able to understand complex business and strategic concepts and intentions and convey these to others clearly and succinctly influencing behaviour and directing actions;
*Able to demonstrate leadership skills, building effective working relationships with staff and management at all levels within the organisation and external environments;
*Able to inspire confidence in senior people and influence their thinking;
*Ability to negotiate on difficult and controversial issues including performance and change;
*Demonstrates success at building strategic relationships within HR, in the wider organisation and beyond the organisation;
*Exceptionally efficient, with excellent prioritisation, time management and organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly and on a number of projects/bids at one time to tight deadlines and at time under pressure;
*Demonstrate capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly;
*Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to produce complex reports, policies and procedures;
*Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability in the areas of grievance resolution, counselling, influencing and team building;
*Ability to analyse workforce data and advise managers on implications in respect of meeting workforce KPI's;
*To be able to write and present presentations to all levels of staff
*Extensive relevant HR experience gained in large complex organisation(s) with multiple stakeholders;
*Significant experience of managing complex casework, providing professional advice and support around people issues at a senior level;
*Significant experience of leading on organisational change including TUPE transfers;
*Extensive experience around employee engagement, HR transformation and implementation;
*Significant experience of working in a unionised environment;
*Significant experience of providing specialist HR and employment law advice;
*Significant experience in resolving complex HR people issues; Extensive experience in using HR metrics and management intel to develop workforce models;
*Experience of advising on and supporting change management within a large complex environment.
Knowledge and qualifications:
*Masters level in Human Resource Management or the equivalent comparable industry experience;
*MCIPD qualified;
*Well-developed knowledge of current HR practice and employment law;
*Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
