Do you have an eye for detail? Are you enthusiastic and dynamic? Are you prepared to go the extra mile for our people at all levels across our organisation and ultimately help to deliver high quality patient care?

Do you want to be challenged, supported, and appreciated in a demanding environment that puts people at the centre of what we do?

If this is you, we would love to hear from you.

The People and Organisational Development (POD) Directorate is a respected and highly valued function at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  We are expanding our HR Teams to enable us to better support the organisation to deliver effective, good quality and robust people management practices and ensure we can support our staff to provide high quality care to our patients.  This role will primarily focus on the high quality and robust provision of complex employee relations case work and the day to day management of the case work team. This role provides an ideal opportunity for a qualified HR Professional to expand their experience and knowledge of complex operational case work, to develop team management skills and to work with senior management teams across the organisation.  There are three teams within our Human Resources function of which the employee relations case team is one. There will be opportunities to expand experience and knowledge by working closely with our HR Business Partnering teams to provide an effective and joined up service to our organisation.

You will take responsibility for the day to day supervision of the Casework team ensuring that high standards are achieved and maintained.  You will implement and evaluate strategies related to the provision of case work support and provide highly specialist advice on the management of employee relations cases.

A typical day could include supporting managers to conduct a complex investigation, designing and delivering training, collaborating with the Casework Team Manager on a service improvement project and ensuring key performance indicators of the team are being achieved.

You should be CIPD qualified, have considerable knowledge regards the application of employment legislation and have a sound background in HR supported by experience of working in a fast moving and complex environment.  You must have excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt in changing circumstances, maintain pace and reach timely outcomes, and thrive in ambiguity. You must also have the confidence and ability to advise and challenge senior managers on a range of operational matters.  You will be a role model, exhibiting behaviours that reflect the Trust values and expecting the same of others as well as championing POD to the rest of the organisation.
