International Human Resources Officer
Established in 1987, ARTICLE 19 works for a world where all people everywhere can freely express themselves and actively engage in public life without fear of discrimination.
Our mission is to promote and defend the universal human rights of freedom of expression and information around the world, through international advocacy, legal analysis, and regional and national projects.
Working closely with the Head of Human Resources, you will operate in a broad HR Business Partner role to provide expert HR advice and support to ARTICLE 19’s regional offices as well as the international office.
You’ll support our managers in taking responsibility for the application of ARTICLE 19 HR policies and procedures, as well as other key aspects of people issues covering the full employee life cycle.
This will be delivered through capacity strengthening; advising on good practice to embed and operationalise HR policies; and by contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
We’ll also look to you to identify HR priorities and deliver initiatives that will strengthen employee relations and maximise learning and development across ARTICLE 19.
To be successful, we’ll need you to be Chartered MCIPD qualified (or equivalent professional qualification); fully conversant with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice in the UK.
Whilst not essential, experience of working for a human rights organisation is desirable
and at least one other language, particularly French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic would be a distinct advantage.
