Job Details

We’re the CIPD — the professional body for HR and people development.  We are the voice of a worldwide community of more than 150,000 members committed to championing better work and working lives.  We’ve been setting the benchmark for excellence in people and organisation development for more than 100 years, helping members build their professional expertise and organisations build their HR and leadership capability.

To enable us to take that mission to action, we're developing and implementing multiple initiatives across the market we operate in, one of them being the member-to-member mentoring programme.

About Member-to-Member Mentoring

Mentoring is an arrangement in which an experienced individual (mentor) offers ongoing support and guidance to a less experienced individual (mentee) to help the mentee manage his or her own learning and career development. As part of this programme, we enable and connect CIPD members across different grades and experiences to share their knowledge, expertise and skills in a semi-structured mentoring programme with an estimated matching duration of 6 to 9 months.
CIPD London Member-to-Member Mentoring programme is currently recruiting new mentors for the April 2019 intake to support the development of mentees across the region.
You would be committing yourself to at least 6 months of career or topical mentoring where we will make sure you get all the support needed to develop long-lasting, transferable skills and critical knowledge concepts around coaching and mentoring.

About you

Being a Member-to-Member Mentor also gives you the chance to develop your own mentoring skills and knowledge while giving something back to your profession. To be involved as a Member-to-Member Mentor in the programme and be able to be matched with other members as mentees you need to be:

  • an active CIPD member (in a professional or academic grade).

  • available to engage in face-to-face or virtual mentoring sessions at least once a month across a minimum period of 6 months.

  • able to attend face-to-face or virtual learning interventions from induction to advanced mentoring skills.

  • be able to articulate learning outcomes and impact from your work and experience in the people profession.

Interested? To be part of this exciting programme couldn’t be simpler! Just complete the attached mentoring application form and send it in with your CV. Register now to our upcoming webinar to find out more about the CIPD London Member-to-Member Mentoring programme on 14 March -> https://CipdLondonM2Mmentoring.eventbrite.co.uk

There has never been a more interesting or important time to join this programme and make a direct impact on the people profession.
