The HR Manager position is a newly created role, which presents a fantastic opportunity for somebody that shares our values and beliefs to join our team at a very exciting time.

This key role, within our central team, will have a full operational remit and will be responsible for providing sound, practical advice to our senior leaders across the organisation.  As we develop our central services, the post holder will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to HR and payroll policies and practices, ensuring these are fit for purpose and support school improvement.

Working to and alongside the Chief Operating Officer, you will hold responsibility for leading and managing all aspects of HR and payroll, whether in-house or via external providers.
As an experienced HR professional, with CIPD membership, the successful candidate will understand the central function of HR, be a strong generalist, and have the ability to develop strategic plans and approaches to HR across the MAT.  Experience of working in education is essential, as is understanding and experience of working with trade unions and up to date knowledge of current HR practice and employment law.

The ideal candidate will be able to perform successfully at an operational and strategic level, taking a risk-based, problem-solving approach and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  This will be a challenging and changing environment so flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels are pre-requisites.
