This is a brand-new role within a newly shaped learning talent and performance function where there is a real desire to overhaul the approach and offering to a rapidly growing business of scale. Everything is to play for and there is opportunity to make a massive impact across a broad learning and development agenda.

Reporting to the Head of Learning Talent and Performance the L&D Manager will be an integral member of the L&D steering group that develops the overarching strategy. Developing a broad L&D offering, partnering the business and driving a number of critical L&D projects will be key aspects of this exciting role. Identifying and working closely with external suppliers you will build a suite of learning offerings that could encompass new starters, professional skills, management and leadership development and competency/ behavioural development that will suit the needs of a business with both sizeable multisite operations populations and professional/head office groups.

Key projects include both the implementation of a new LMS system and managing engagement survey activity. The business will be launching Litmus Pro as their new LMS. It is a critical project to maximise the benefits of a modern LMS to ensure it integrates both with the businesses HR systems, but also the opportunities are taken to think creatively as to how the LMS can provide a ranging of learning opportunities to suit the diverse nature of their employee base.

There is a real opportunity to work from a fairly blank sheet of paper, be innovative and create something really special for a rapidly evolving business. You'll need structure, resilience, drive and pragmatism to work systematically yet with vision to achieve great things. You should be an experienced learning professional who brings prior experience of managing the implementation of a modern LMS system and maximising its potential. There is huge scope in this role so if it sounds exciting and you would like to hear more or apply then please contact Rosie Jenkins at Consult HR
